text, such a pain in the ass

Finally finished up the EWL conversion to Textblock2. A lot of it works better, there are still segv's in there that need to be worked out and an issue with the cursor. But hopefully now that it's in CVS instead of a gigantic patch it'll all go better.

Nathan and I have been doing a lot of cleanup of the EWL code lately. Changing APIs, fixing old widgets, creating tests. All that stuff thats helping with the stability. Add in a bit of theme cleanup (after moving to the e17 theme) and EWL has been trucking along nicely.

We've got some big changes in store for the tree code which should nicely cleanup both the code using it and the way it displays on the screen (we don't try to fix the current one too much as it's being replaced). Hopefully we can get more of our theme updated to match DR17 (thats the problem with writing the theme before the DR17 components existed, heh).

Time does what?

It's been a while, time has been flying past lately. Not exactly sure whats been going on the last while. We did a thanksgiving dinner thing for Stacys family on the weekend which went over pretty well. We've also apparently got our house warming party this weekend, which should be fun (only about 6 months after we moved in).

In other news, Nathan and I have been doing a lot of restructuring and refactoring of the EWL code base. Moving things to where they make more sense, changing APIs for consistency. It's coming together pretty will, and hopefully I'll be able to get this other re-worked stuff I've been working on in CVS soon. (Stupid bugs.)

Other then that, I don't really know what to say. I've got my vacation time scheduled at work, now I just need to figure out what the hell I'm actually going to do for it, heh. Oh, and I got a couple of nice balcony seats to see the lord of the rings musical when it hits Toronto next year which should be good.
