So, Stacy, myself and a couple of friends went to see Evil Dead - The Musical tonight.
I must say it was fan … wait for it … wait … wait for it … tastic. It was the right mix of singing, quotes and blood to keep the audience laughing.
Deaths a bitch …. a stupid bitch
If you get a chance, go see this show. It’s just been extended in Toronto until June 14th so get your tickets. Oh, and if you don’t want to get bloody, don’t sit in the first two rows. Some of those people were pretty wet by the end of the show.
So, Stacy and I went out for a little cultural exercise last night. There was a one night only showing of MacHomer playing at Massey Hall. It sounded like a fun evening, how can you go wrong combining Shakespeare and The Simpsons?
Damn, were we ever right.
The show is fantastic. If you ever get a chance you should go. The voices he does are really good, a few were weak but it doesn’t detract from the show. The mannerisms are what makes everything work. Hunched over for Burns, reeling for Barney. Really well done.
So, if you get a chance, and MacHomer comes to a city near you go, for the love of all that is donuty, go.
It's been a while, time has been flying past lately. Not exactly sure whats been going on the last while. We did a thanksgiving dinner thing for Stacys family on the weekend which went over pretty well. We've also apparently got our house warming party this weekend, which should be fun (only about 6 months after we moved in).
In other news, Nathan and I have been doing a lot of restructuring and refactoring of the EWL code base. Moving things to where they make more sense, changing APIs for consistency. It's coming together pretty will, and hopefully I'll be able to get this other re-worked stuff I've been working on in CVS soon. (Stupid bugs.)
Other then that, I don't really know what to say. I've got my vacation time scheduled at work, now I just need to figure out what the hell I'm actually going to do for it, heh. Oh, and I got a couple of nice balcony seats to see the lord of the rings musical when it hits Toronto next year which should be good.
